Obituary for Robert Michio Sakamoto

SAKAMOTO, ROBERT MICHIO (77) passed away on June 8, 2016 in Laguna Woods.  He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Sakamoto; children, Lisa (Craig) Angelich, Bob (Cheryl), Keith (Leanne) and Glenn Sakamoto; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Elise and Marissa Angelich, Erin, Mari, Jenna and Emi Sakamoto; brothers, Norman Y. (Marge) and Donald K. (Lois) Sakamoto; three step-children, six step-grandchildren; also survived by three nephews and many other relatives.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00AM at West LA United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Avenue, Los Angeles, CA. Overflow parking is available 1.5 blocks south of the church at the Trident Center, 11355 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles. Family welcomes casual festive attire, and would like to request flowers to be omitted.

Although we may never have met in person during our 22 year condo relationship Robert, I loved taking with you via the phone, sharing my Mammoth Family vacations with you and enjoyed listening about your family trips. Will miss hearing your sweet voice over the phone, your calm, gentle words, and sharing my photography with you. You made it possible for my family and I to fully enjoy those Great Sierras thru your countless detail and beauty of your condo. And by making it so affordable for I, a simple Press Operator, to be able to enjoy long weeks of Mammoth glory, all because of your generosity. I WILL Miss you dearly my fellow Mammoth Junkie :)
