Obituary for Alice Asako Honda

A funeral service for Alice Asako Honda, 74 year-old, Hawaii born Sansei, who passed away on July 22, 2009 in Los Angeles will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive., Culver City, CA.  Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12447 Braddock Dr., LA, CA.

 

She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Winfred “Jimmy” Watanabe; daughters, Terry Lynn Leon and Cheryl Honda, both of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Crystal Crisostomo and Lucas Wilson; sisters, Violet Teramoto, Velma Yoshida, Daisy Shimooka, Sarah Morimoto; brothers, Lincoln Yoshida and Arthur Yoshida; sister-in-laws, Roseanne Yoshida and Blanche Tokuda; also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Note: Flower orders for Alice Asako Honda must have been made at least 48 hours before the service time.

To Jimmy, Terry, & Cheryl,
We are sorry that we could not be with you at this time due to health conditions. We’d like to express our deepest sympathy and thank you for giving her the best tender loving care she could receive. Our memories of the fun times she has given us will always be in our hearts! She always made us laugh and smile. She was so thoughtful! We were blessed with her presence!
