Obituary for Masaaki J. Nakagiri

NAKAGIRI, MASAAKI “JIM” (83) veteran of the Korean Conflict passed away on August 1, 2009 in Santa Monica. He is survived by his wife, Tomiye Mary Nakagiri; daughters, Lynn (Tim Mochizuki) Nakagiri and Laurie (Mike) Amano; grandchildren, Tyson, Derek and Toni Amano; siblings, Margie Morikawa, Jane Shintani, June (Jim) Akioka, Shig (Donna), and Bob Nakagiri; brothers-in-law, Mitsuo (Shizue), Jiro, Frank (Hideko), Hiroshi (Sumako), Roy, and Isamu Tsushima; sisters-in-law, Florence Nakagiri and May (Keigo) Obata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 7:30PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive., Culver City, CA.  Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12447 Braddock Dr., LA, CA. 

Note: Flower orders for Masaaki J must have been made at least 48 hours before the service time.
