Obituary for Florence Nakagiri

NAKAGIRI, FLORENCE “AIKO” (87) passed away on October 22 2009 in Los Angeles.  She is predeceased by her husband, Tadao Nakagiri; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ryono Nakagiri; survived by her sons, Glenn (Christine), Ronnie and Don Nakagiri; daughter, Joan (Brian York) Nakagiri; three grandchildren, Kami Megumi, Jamie Shinobu and Kyle Satoshi Nakagiri; sister, Virginia (Bob) Chan; in-laws, Namiko and Irene Sahara, Margie Morikawa, Shigemi, Donna, Mary, and Bob Nakagiri; Jane Shintani, Jimmy and June Akioka; cousin, Yoshiko (Harumasa) Kariya; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 7:30PM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Drive, Culver City.  Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Drive, LA.  Family requests that flowers be omitted.

Dear Glen and Christine,
My deepest sympathies on the profound loss of your mother. Losing a parent is so sad, but I believe they live in our memories forever. I’m sure she was very proud of you and her grandchildren.
