Obituary for Takahiro Ito

TAKAHIRO “DON” ITO

 

A funeral service for Takahiro “Don” Ito, 67 year-old, Arita, Saga born Issei who passed away on November 29, 2009 while on vacation in Kona, Hawaii will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary Memorial Chapel, 911 Venice Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90015 with Rev. Toshiro Obara from Reiyukai America officiating. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Yumiko Ito; daughter, Tamami Ito (fiance, Janzen Gianfrancesco); brothers, Daisuke (Mineko) and Yoshikazu Ito both of Japan; brothers-in-law, Yoshio (Taeko) Kurosaka and Masaaki (Toshiko) Tanaka all of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Takahiro “Don” Ito was the owner of “Don’s Hair Salon” in Little Tokyo for many years.

I wish I had known of Don’s passing. I knew him for over 35 years, as well as his wife Yumiko. I met his late Son, Masaito Eduado Ito. He was always a man of his word and a good friend.
