Obituary for Roy Shuichi Murakami
MURAKAMI, ROY SHUICHI (78) passed away peacefully in North Hollywood on December 19, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Michiko Murakami; children, Dean Murakami, Laura (Michael) Tadakuma, Wendy (Michael) Miyashima, Michael Murakami; granddaughter, Kellie Miyashima; brother, George (Frances) Murakami; sisters-in-law, Fumiko (Mitsugi) Uyeki, Emiko Nitta; brother-in-law, Minoru (Mieko) Taguchi; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Roy was a 7th degree black belt in Judo; co-owner of Sego Nursery, Inc.; a Korean War veteran, and a graduate of North Hollywood High (class of 1950).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2:00PM at San Fernando Valley Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 9450 Remick Ave., Pacoima, CA. Family requests aloha attire and that flowers be omitted.
