My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Kogi. Your father was a gentle, kind and patient man. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others and was always giving me hints on glazing techniques. He also talked of all his children and was a very proud father. I have missed him since he stopped coming to class and now I will hold his memory forever in my heart. He truly was a treasure.
With love and prayers,
Rebecca Humphrey

I was very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I always enjoyed his gentle humor and his willingness to share his “knowledge of the clay” with other students. I had missed him in class and wondered where he had gone.

My heart is saddened on learning that my mentor Kogi has passed. He taught me to throw and helped me make many hand items in ceramic class. I will treasure these items. He will be missed.

To Family and Friends of Kogi-san,
Kogi was a true joy and gift to have in our class. Kogi was always talking about the possibilities of the ceramic medium. Kogi shared his insights and techniques to all who listened. He was a gifted artist and teacher and we will all miss him here in Menifee.
My Condolences,

He was an inspiration and it was a pleasure to know him. He was always willing to help.
There are certain clay pieces I made that remind me of the suggestions he gave me. He will remain in my thoughts and heart.
Sincerely,
Ila Goldstein
