Obituary for Kazuo Nishida

NISHIDA, KAZUO (87) passed away on July 1, 2012, in Torrance.  He is survived by his wife, Miriam Hanayo Nishida; daughters, Gail Nishida-Coppock, Kathleen Nishida, and Sandra (Ron) Bates, the last of Portland, OR; grand kids; Christopher and Mackenzie Bates, both of Portland, OR; siblings, Shizue Okada of Alameda, CA, Shigeru (Rae) Nishida of Seattle, WA, and Kenji (Martha) Nishida; brother-in-law, Paul (Bobi) Masumoto; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., L. A.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Nishida. I remember always feeling welcome at his home and conversations about projects he was working on. Most especially I remember when he loaned me his 1970 Mustang Mach 1 to drive to my first high school dance, wow.
To Mrs. Nishida and the rest of your wonderful family I offer my condolences and thanks for so many great memories of one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing and still remember all these years later.
